Privacy
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to help spot unusual traffic that may indicate misuse. It records the pages visited, the referring page, device type and browser, and an approximate location at city level. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We use aggregate usage reports; cookies contain pseudonymous visitor identifiers that can link visits from the same browser, so this data is not fully anonymous. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>) to recognise repeat visits. Advertising features are disabled in our tag configuration. Our page-view configuration removes URL queries and fragments from the page address and referring address. In the United Kingdom, the EEA and Switzerland (estimated in your browser from its time zone and language), nothing loads until you accept; this estimate may differ from your actual location. Outside those estimated regions, analytics loads on arrival unless you have declined or enabled Global Privacy Control. Analytics choice at the foot of any page changes your choice. A Global Privacy Control signal counts as a refusal everywhere. Google may process this data outside the United Kingdom and the EEA. Submission checks and moderation on GitHub handle unwanted submissions. Search and mathematics assets are served locally. Choosing Load comments connects to giscus.app and GitHub to display GitHub Discussions; posting a comment requires GitHub sign-in. Comments and reactions are public and are moderated on GitHub. GitHub also provides hosting and may retain operational access logs. Public contribution metadata and historical GitHub attribution are part of the research record.
